Our Company

ColumBiz was founded by Robert Kovacs in 2011 and is located in the New York City Metropolitan Area. Columbiz is a management firm helping companies to build a market and make their business successful. The company is headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut which is about 35 minutes away from Manhattan. Stamford is the main center for the biggest Hedge Fund and Investment Firms and an ideal place to find investors.

ColumBiz has many different partners and service providers to support the clients in the best way possible.

ColumBiz has two Executive Managers, an office assistant and two co-workers on contract basis, who can altogether establish about eight client companies in the US. All members of our team have lots of entrepreneurial experience and also speak several languages for doing international business.

Beside the main team ColumBiz also has a network of service providers like attorneys, accountants, marketing firms, distribution firms, and advisory firms as well as the German, Austrian and Italian Chamber of Commerce.

Robert Kovacs, PhD

President & CEO

Is founder and CEO of ColumBiz. He owns a PhD in Applied Physics in the field of Medical Devices from the University of Innsbruck, he studied business at the University of Innsbruck for two years, attended Business School also in Innsbruck with main focus on Business Management and has more than 15 years of practical experience as entrepreneur. With his Miller-Heiman-Training for strategic selling he has a solid background for all his sales activities.

Furthermore he is Member of the MIT Enterprise Forum, the IERG, the ACG, the German-American Chamber of Commerce, and the OED.

Mr. Kovacs co-founded the manufacturing company LUKOtronic in 2000 where he was responsible for business management, sales & key account management. He ran the company for 11 years together with his partner and turned it into an internationally acting corporation. In 2011 Mr. Kovacs left the company due to his emigration to the US. He started his new company ColumBiz by the end of 2011 and could already help five companies on the US market.

Peter Wrampe, PhD

Managing Partner

Is Business Manager at ColumBiz with a main focus on Business Development and Marketing. Mr. Wrampe owns a PhD in Chemical Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology and a Business Degree from Pace University, New York.

He is member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineering, of the American Institute of Metallurgical Engineers, of the Verein Deutscher Ingenieure, of the Verein Deutscher Eisenhuettenleute and of the IERG.

Mr. Wrampe works for more than 30 years as International Business Development Expert and used to live in Belgium, Brazil, China, Germany and Singapore.

His field of expertise is in market development for new technologies in the USA and also internationally, especially in the areas of alternative energy sources, environmental technologies, food, pharmaceuticals, cement, glass, metall and water treatment technology. His former focus was in business development for Praxair Inc that is working in the field of industrial gases.

Mr. Wrampe speaks fluently English, German and Portuguese and can also talk in French, Spanish and Italian.
